FENTON TWP., MI – A manufacturing company has relocated to Fenton Township with the hope of creating up to 40 jobs within five years.
Enihcam Manufacturing relocated to the area from Saginaw, and within the past several months has revamped its new work site, 3061 Thompson Road, and partnered with a worldwide machine specialist, SMTCL-Americas.
On Wednesday, Enihcam hosted an open house to celebrate their new offices and relocation.
“We’ve done a lot in two months,” said CFO Jeff Schram. “It all just kind of fell into place.”
Jeff Schram and brother Brian Schram, CEO of the company, expect the move and deal with SMTCL equipment could mean a total of 40 jobs, both in manufacturing and sales, in the next three to five years. Enihcam currently employs 10 people.
The new location features a 7,000-square-foot showroom designated completely for SMTCL equipment.
SMTCL, a China-based company with locations world-wide, creates about 80,000 machines each year and Jerry McCarty, CEO of SMTCL-Americas, said the company anticipates selling to many small businesses with the new showroom in Fenton Township.
