Embraer’s Steady Progress Towards 2023 Delivery Goals

As reported by Simple Flying in their article “Embraer On Track To Deliver 65 Commercial Aircraft In 2023,” Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer is forecasting the delivery of up to 70 commercial aircraft this year. This projection follows a 30% increase in deliveries during the third quarter, with 15 of those being commercial regional jets. Despite a significant backlog, Embraer has shown considerable improvement, with deliveries up by 50% compared to the same period last year.

Embraer Executive Vice President & CFO Antonio Carlos Garcia indicated that a more realistic forecast for 2023 would be around 65 aircraft deliveries. As of now, Embraer has delivered 39 aircraft year-to-date (YTD), up from 27 jets delivered by this time in 2022. The first quarter of 2023 saw seven deliveries, slightly more than the six in the first quarter of 2022. The second quarter of 2023 marked a significant increase with 17 aircraft delivered, compared to 11 during the same period in 2022. In the third quarter, 15 planes were delivered compared to 10 in 2022, highlighting a 50% increase. This recent quarter included six E175 regional jets and nine of the newer, larger E195-E2 aircraft.

In addition to their commercial success, Embraer has excelled in executive aviation. The company has delivered 66 executive jets year-to-date, compared to 52 last year. Their executive jet lineup includes the Phenom 100, Phenom 300, Praetor 500, and Praetor 600. The last quarter alone saw 28 executive jets delivered, up from 23 during the same period in 2022. The second quarter of 2023 also showed improvement with 30 jets delivered, significantly higher than the 23 in Q2 2022. The first quarter of 2023 remained stable with eight executive jets delivered, similar to the same period in 2022.

Embraer’s advancements and increased delivery rates reflect a positive trend in their production capabilities and market demand. As they continue to meet and exceed their delivery targets, Embraer strengthens its position in both the commercial and executive aviation sectors.
